The DJI Matrice 400 is an enterprise-grade drone platform designed for long-duration missions, heavy payload operation, and advanced obstacle sensing. It delivers up to 59 minutes of forward flight time and supports a maximum payload capacity of 6 kg, making it suitable for professional applications such as emergency response, power line inspection, mapping, and construction monitoring.

The aircraft integrates a rotating LiDAR, mmWave radar, and full-color low-light vision sensors to provide power-line-level obstacle detection, including in low-light or complex terrain environments. It supports O4 Enterprise Enhanced Video Transmission and Airborne Relay Video Transmission for stable communication over extended distances.

Matrice 400 supports multiple gimbal configurations and external expansion ports, allowing simultaneous use of multiple payloads. It is compatible with DJI Zenmuse camera systems, lighting, audio, LiDAR, and computing accessories. Automated flight features are supported through DJI Pilot 2, including route planning, terrain following, and inspection workflows.

The drone features an IP55 protection rating and operates in temperatures from -20°C to 50°C, enabling reliable use in demanding weather and environmental conditions. Additional capabilities include real-time terrain follow, ship-based takeoff and landing, and automated power line inspection when paired with compatible payloads.
