A Fresh Take On The Classic
Quick Start, Instant Filming
The DJI RS 4 Mini introduces auto axis locks, a feature previously available on DJI's flagship gimbals. This allows the three-axis locks to automatically unlock when powered on and lock when powered off or in sleep mode, greatly speeding up filming, transitioning, and storage.
Handles Cameras and Smartphones
The RS 4 Mini can support mirrorless cameras, vlog cameras, and smartphones with a maximum weight of 2 kg (4.4 lbs). It accommodates setups like the Sony A7 series with a 24-70mm F2.8 GM II lens. When paired with DJI Mic series microphones, lights, and accessories, it ensures smooth camera movements. The Phone Holder accessory allows users to switch to a smartphone stabilizer quickly.
Wireless Recording and Zoom
Once paired via Bluetooth, you can start/stop recording on your camera or phone directly through the gimbal’s record button. The zoom control feature lets you control Power Zoom for PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom with the joystick, enabling smooth one-handed operation.
UI Upgrades for Better Experience
The touchscreen now displays clearer icons and runs more smoothly. New gimbal status prompts have been added, and you can fine-tune parameters directly using the front dial. The touchscreen features an auto-lock function, which, once activated, shows current gimbal and joystick modes at a low brightness. This prevents accidental touches and saves battery power.
Briefcase Handle for Mini
A next-gen briefcase handle, designed for the RS 4 Mini, reduces the size by 20% and the weight by 12%, making low-angle handheld filming much easier.
Intelligent Tracking and Composition
Introducing the DJI RS Intelligent Tracking Module, a new accessory for the RS 4 series. It assists videographers, especially beginners, with intelligent follow-filming and composition, keeping the subject in a consistent position within the frame. This is ideal for orbit shots, backward tracking shots, and self-tracking while filming solo. The module can track subjects up to 10 meters and works reliably in complex scenes, even with multiple subjects. If the subject temporarily leaves the frame, the gimbal quickly regains focus and follows the subject.
1-Second Magnetic Mount
The DJI RS Intelligent Tracking Module uses a magnetic quick-release design, allowing for quick attachment to the tilt axis in just one second, enabling seamless functionality with the gimbal.
Responsive and Smooth Follow
The new Responsive mode offers faster response to hand movements, ideal for fast-paced shots. The Smooth Follow mode remains for cinematic shots, providing fluid camera movement.
Robust Stabilization
4th-Gen Stabilization
The RS 4 Mini features an upgraded 4th-gen RS Stabilization Algorithm, providing a superior balance between stabilization strength and the tactile feel of camera movement.
Fast Charging, Extended Battery Life
Battery life is increased by 30% compared to the previous generation, offering up to 13 hours of filming. The fast charging feature provides 5 hours of use with just a 30-minute charge.
Lightweight Build, High Payload
Weighing only 890 g (2 lbs), the RS 4 Mini can carry up to 2 kg (4.4 lbs). It supports a wide range of mirrorless cameras and lens combinations, delivering powerful performance. It can handle setups like the Sony A7 series camera with a 24-70 mm F2.8 GM II lens and a DJI Mic series microphone receiver. With its high-torque motors, the RS 4 Mini ensures stable shooting, even when zooming to max focal lengths with these recommended combinations, all without needing to rebalance.
