2nd-Gen Native Vertical Shooting
The RS 4 features a redesigned horizontal plate, enabling the second generation of native vertical shooting for quicker, easier operation. With no additional accessories required, simply release the horizontal plate and lock it into the vertical position for a seamless switch to vertical shooting, making vertical video production more efficient.
2nd-Gen Automated Axis Locks
The automated axis locks allow the RS 4 to quickly begin or enter sleep mode, improving shooting, transitions, and storage efficiency. The tighter locks also reduce gimbal shake, enhancing stability.
Smoothest Balancing Experience
The RS 4 is equipped with a Teflon™ coating on all three axes to reduce friction, providing smoother balancing. When changing cameras or lenses, the fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis allows for precise forward or backward adjustments, achieving exact, millimeter-level balancing. The upper quick-release plate also includes an adjustable placement guide to ensure the camera is securely mounted.
Automatic Screen Lock
The OLED touchscreen features a new auto-lock function that dims the display to show the current gimbal and joystick modes, helping prevent accidental touches and conserving battery life.

Excellent Payload Capacity
The lightweight RS 4 supports up to 3 kg (6.6 lbs) of payload, making it capable of carrying mainstream mirrorless cameras and lens combinations while maintaining comfortable handling and strong power. The tilt axis has been extended by 8.5 mm compared to previous models, providing more space for balancing, allowing for the addition of accessories like ND filters, and expanding creative possibilities.
4th-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm
DJI has refined the RS 4’s next-gen stabilization algorithm to deliver superior balance between stabilization strength and the tactile feel of camera movement, improving both stabilization performance and user experience. The RS 4 also ensures better stability during vertical shooting, making it easier to steady dynamic shots, such as running or low-angle perspectives.

Bluetooth Wireless Control
The RS 4 allows for remote control of the camera’s shutter and lens zoom via Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology. In zoom control mode, the joystick controls Power Zoom for PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom, providing a native zoom experience. Once the camera is paired, it reconnects automatically without needing to be paired again.
Support for DJI Focus Pro Motor
When paired with the DJI Focus Pro Motor, the RS 4 allows you to control lens focus with the dial or adjust zoom via the joystick, enabling smooth and efficient lens control.
Customizable Trigger Function
The trigger function can be customized to FPV mode, where pressing and holding the trigger causes the gimbal’s axes to follow the direction of the grip’s movement. This feature is ideal for shooting rotational footage or simulating POV shots.
Gimbal Mode Switch
With the gimbal mode switch, you can quickly toggle between PF, PTF, and FPV modes. FPV mode can also be set to 3D Roll 360 or Custom mode, depending on the shooting requirements, ensuring the RS 4 is ready for precision use.
